Very sad, but unfortunately true in a lot of cases. I found this to be a very affective piece. How do I treat someone who has attempted a change and how are others regarding my change? We may never know. I pray to God that my one caring sister will follow through with my wishes when I finally leave the earth. I trust she will but even if she doesn't I will find pleasure in just being me even if no one else on earth can.
Thank you, Karen, for making us think about our attitudes toward others in our lives and our workplaces who don't quite fit in, transgender or otherwise.
